Jonathan Joss, the voice actor best known for his role as John Redcorn on King of the Hill, died on Sunday, June 1, after being fatally shot at his home in San Antonio, Texas.
The news was first reported by TMZ, and authorities have yet to release further details about the motive behind the shooting.
Officers found the 59-year-old actor near the road around 7 p.m. Joss was pronounced dead at the scene after paramedics tried to save him. Police quickly apprehended 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Cejam, who fled in a car. Joss' neighbor Cejam was charged with murder by police. The incident is under investigation.
Joss became famous for voicing John Redcorn on King of the Hill in Season 3 after Victor Aaron died in a car accident. Joss is set to return for the August Hulu revival of the late 1990s and early 2000s show.
Joss shared an Instagram video hours before his death, expressing his excitement for the upcoming King of the Hill reboot.
