Shiloh Jolie drops her surname "Pitt"

Shiloh Jolie drops her surname "Pitt"

Shiloh Jolie, 19, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, debuted a fresh look at a Los Angeles fashion event last week. Shiloh choreographed a unique dance performance during Isabel Marant's capsule collection launch with Net-A-Porter under the name “Shi Joli,” a shorter form of her mother's surname.

Schindler's Oliver House in Silver Lake hosted the special “sunset dinner”. Performers Tako Suzuki and Keoni Rose performed Shiloh's choreography, accompanied by Luella's live interpretation of “Naïve.” She made her professional debut as “Shi Joli” in the event press release.

Shiloh's changed name follows her legal decision to remove “Pitt” from her surname on her 18th birthday in May 2024. In August, sources confirmed that she engaged a lawyer and funded the change without Angelina Jolie's input. Her attorney claimed the judgment was “independent and significant” and based on “painful events.”

Shiloh's change left Brad Pitt “aware and upset”. A source told People that he “always wanted a daughter” and struggles with emotional distance from his kids. “He loves and misses his children,” the insider stated. “Very sad.”

Other siblings have distanced themselves from Pitt. Zahara Jolie omitted “Pitt” at her 2023 Alpha Kappa Alpha induction, and Maddox Jolie may have avoided it on non-legal paperwork. Pitt and Jolie divorced in 2024 after an eight-year fight. They have six children.
