Taylor Swift obtains a restraining order against Brian Wagner, a stalker who believes she is his child's mother

Taylor Swift has been granted a restraining order against Brian Jason Wagner, a stalker who claims Swift is the mother of his child, due to concerns for her safety and a "fear of imminent harm."

Swift has accused Wagner of sending threatening emails to her staff, claiming that Wagner fabricated stories about living with her, being in a relationship, and needing to see her in person, which she claims are "untrue and disconnected from reality."

Wagner's behavior escalated in May 2025 when he claimed to be "checking on a friend" at Swift's home, a story Swift dismissed as false. Wagner's behavior began in 2024 when he visited Swift's property, returning multiple times that year, and carrying a potentially dangerous glass bottle.

The restraining order revealed Wagner's history of prison sentences and obsessive behavior, including writing letters about a romantic relationship with Swift. He also placed Swift's address on his driver's license and attempted to send mail to her. Swift denied any relationship with Wagner, and the temporary order expires on June 30, 2025.
