Paramount Global has rebranded its top-tier streaming service, Paramount+ Premium, to remove the term "Showtime" from its name. The package, previously known as Paramount+ With Showtime, will remain at $12.99 per month or $119.99 per year, including all Showtime content.
This comes more than a year after Showtime was fully integrated into Paramount+ in 2023, leading to the discontinuation of Showtime's standalone streaming app in early 2024. Despite the name change, Showtime shows like Dexter: Original Sin, The Chi, and Yellowjackets remain a key part of the lineup.
The rebranding is part of a larger strategy to clarify the tiered service model: Paramount+ Premium (ad-free, with live CBS feeds) and Paramount+ Essential (ad-supported), both priced at $7.99 per month or $59.99 annually. The name change only affects the streaming service, while the linear cable channel will continue to be known as Paramount+ With Showtime.
The rebranding follows Warner Bros. Discovery's recent plans to rename HBO Max to emphasize its core identity.
