Robert Eggers, known for Nosferatu and The Lighthouse, is set to direct a new remake of A Christmas Carol for Warner Bros., with Willem Dafoe being considered for the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Dafoe, who has previously worked with Eggers on The Lighthouse, The Northman, and Nosferatu, is considered a strong candidate due to their established working relationship and creative chemistry. This is Eggers' first collaboration with Warner Bros. and his current project is Werwulf.
